adventures in motorcycle

I took last night off to goto my friends wedding then went out to have a few drinks with the best man and a couple other old friends that I had lost touch with. It was cool. I'm so quick to skip work lately job has been stressful.

Anyway, I called Jim to tell him about how I've been having problems with my bike sense I got back from the beach and asked for help. He said he'd come over but it turned out just that the kickstand sensor was a bit crusty and not working. I got it to work after a couple tries (just wasn't going out all the way) The glue job was done with the tail light and looked firm.

So when he got here we were ready to roll.

Just going out onto barnes road though I looked back and didn't see him. So I waited, waited and waited. Turns out that he saw a car coming and gunned it around a turn but the ground was slick and spilled the bike over. When he finally came up he asked me if I saw and I said no. He looked ok but said his shoulder hurt. :(

We took off to compusa to look for some ram for his computer (he got a new bible searching program as a gift) and then found out that comp usa had terrible prices. So we hopped on the freeway, down to fry's. After that ride we were rewarded with better prices. He really didn't want to go home empty handed and goes to me for computer advise. Jim has really been a blessing so far as someone to help with bike problems so I'm more than eager to help him. Anyway, he put in the new ram and I helped streamline his computer so that it would run a bit faster.

When I got back though he pointed out that the tail light was bouncing all over the place. . . the glue didn't hold. His recommendation was to goto the Yamaha dealer and see if they had the plastic part to replace my broken one. Hmmm Also I didn't notice this before but there is a dent in the gas tank probably from the beach trip... sigh...

I am so glad that I didn't go out and buy an expensive bike.
