What to do...

The last 2 years I spent christmas working but it is a sunday / monday combo this year so I won't have to work. And the way things are I doubt they'll need any overtime. I am not used to this... the truth is that I really don't have any family so without work to goto christmas may be a very lonely time.

Paul - Our house is always open for a Christmas morning/afternoon hangout time. Usually talk story...play a game. Hang out and get fat time. You're more than welcome!

Funny that you mention that...the feeling of being lonely, and little family. I have been fortunate through the years to have family to hang with and it is seldom a lonely time. In reflection of the times where I thought I was lonely, I have always been reminded of Jesus. It hit me square in the nose a few years back....What does Jesus feel when we go about our Christmas, living for today, getting gifts, eating, drinking and being merry, all the while forgetting the reason for the season, Jesus Christ and him being born, the Savior of the World. I can only imagine what Jesus thinks about us fogetting the true meaning of Christmas and celebrating in our own pagan ways.

Let me know if you wanna hang on Christmas day bro, I'm in!

I am also fortunate my family is within a few hours from me. I usually get to see them except in the event of a blizzard where noone can drive. On those years, I usually still cooked a meal...and happened upon several others that would be lonely for the holidays. Suprising how many people spend that time of year alone. You probably wouldnt have to look to hard to find some others that would be solo on xmas to get together and share a meal and some good conversation!

Hehe...if you cook it....they will come. ;)

Aren't you going to have Christmas with your brother / mother though Theresa? I don't want to be the only non-related one there.
